" Well I Finally Did It."

It only took me four years but I finally redid my Blog all by myself!! This is not a big deal to most of you but I've always been a bit nervous about it.

I'm not too sure that I will keep this background. I was just experimenting to see how I'd do. For me this is a major accomplishment. Now that I have familiarized myself a bit with the process, I will probably experiment some more.

Well you learn something new everyday they say. I suppose that's true. Now guess what else I did?
Yesterday I weeded in my backyard. Believe it or not, we've had such a mild winter that the weeds were already taking over my flowerbed. Which already has Hyacinths, Daffodils and Easter Lilies coming up in it.

I do believe this is the first time in the 13 years we've been in this house, that I've weeded in February! That's just crazy! It was sunny and warm though and I had a little chat with God. He's always with me especially when I'm weeding.

It was as a result of the weeding that I found the Hyacinth. Surprise!! So I actually got about one-one thousandth of the yard done yesterday!!

My Daughter-in-Law came home from the hospital today. She's still a bit out of it but my son is taking good care of her and the kids. She is sleeping and recovering as I type this.

My daughter Katie is sick. I'm quite sure she got it from me. I took her to the doctor today. So we are both on Antibiotics now. Poor kid, I know exactly how she feels. I'm taking good care of her though, it's what I do best besides clean!!

Oh I almost forgot, before I sign off here, I rode my bike for four miles today, in 25 minutes! I'm getting closer to my goal of five miles a day, five to six days a week by April. Not bad, not bad at all!!

Congratulations! On your new blog look (LOVE IT!), on your bike accomplishment, and on your weeding efforts!
It's been mild here too most of the Winter. This week has turned colder, but it's still been sunny. Tomorrow they are predicting cold along with snow and rain showers! But it's almost March so I am not going to complain. God's been very good to me! I was not relishing the thought of dragging EĆ³ghan out in all kinds of cold, wet, Winter weather.

I hope your daughter and your daughter-in-law recover quickly, and I'm so glad to hear that you are feeling better!

And love reading how you chat with God as you garden!

Love you, Di!, E

Your new blog looks great, I have seen when some people re-do theirs - that the old background pops up when it's loading. You have a nice smooth transition!

Aah, the world is upside down, now it's the parents giving the germs to the kids instead of the other way around.

Wow! You are one very busy lady. Weeding, blog-fixing, daughter-tending, and biking (OK, bicycling).

I can appreciate that weeding in February is a bit odd. Like, very odd. Weird western winter weather. (See if you can say that three times, clearly.)

I was having a bit of a problem initially with the new blog, because there wasn't a good colour separation between the print of your posts and the background. Then the mid-ground darkened up, and gave enough separation to see everything clearly. Well done, you!

Make sure you keep taking care of you in the process.
And keep having fun.

Blessings and Bear hugs.

Your blog has an Italian fresco look, Di...looks great and 4 miles of riding your bike is impressive! We did yard work yesterday too, trimmed back several ornamental grasses. Won't belong before we both have toad sightings!

The blog looks AWESOME!! I want to change the look of mine too, but I don't even know where to start with that. You did a great job. Love the background. And good job with the bike and weeding.

this blog is beautiful! I am so afraid of changing anything other than a background. I don't even know how to change my header other than a picture, I would love to change mine up a bit! I LOVE THIS LOOK! How will it be when you add pictures. Will you see then through the background. It really is nice, and I have never figured out the sidebar thing. Wow, I am envious...I am afraid if I mess with mine I will loose all of my old posts....that would be sad. I better just hurry and print them all off. Since they have become somewhat of a journal for me. So glad your DIL is doing ok, And WOW 4 miles....I need to get on my bike! I know it will make my arthritis feel better, I just hate that it gets dark and cold by the time I get home from work. SUMMER WHERE ARE YOU????? love and hugs

The blog looks nice...I wish I had someone that lived near by to help with the process of getting some of the cool blog backgrounds like Rebecca and some of the other bloggers. I am very limited in my computer skills....:(
