"What Goes Up...."

I'm so sorry for my absence. I've hardly visited anyone as of late but it's because my husband has been home all week on vacation. I have lots to post about but just for now I have a few photos of last weekends Balloon Festival that I want to share with you.

First off, here's one of me that I didn't know my daughter Ginny had snapped! It was my daughter's Ginny and Kate along with Kate's boyfriend that went to the fest. The kids bought me a nice comfy chair to sit on. The weather was just perfect, a bit chilly towards the end but we just loved it after the heat wave this summer.

Here's the funny part, these are all Ginny's photo's. I still haven't uploaded mine yet!

I must say this was the most relaxing evening that I've had in ages! The crowd was very light. The weather couldn't have been more perfect. We had some delicious treats and saw some gorgeous balloons. I'm going to get some of mine up here soon.

The next day we had some more fun. I'll save that for my next post, until then hope you are having a good weekend!!

Aren't they incredible? Loved the pepsi can and the ladybug. The effect of the burners in the dark is pretty. So glad you had a nice time and got some cooler weather. Diana, where was the picture taken that you use on your header page?
It's very interesting.

Hi Debbie,
Thank you for the kind words! My background photo was taken in a gentleman's backyard in Makanda Illinois. He has a metal art shop and his backyard is just amazing! There is so much more to it then what I have here. He lets people wander around back there and take photos. It's more amazing than I can describe! Love Di ♥

Hi Di, So glad it has cooled down for you. You got your hair cut! (I'm attempting to let mine grow - we'll see how long THAT lasts!). Ginny's pics are great. I like the sunglasses balloon. Katie looks so happy - has school started for her?

What fun, Di. I've always been fascinated by those hot air balloons ... don't think I'd have the nerve to go up, though.

Hot air balloons are just so cool!
When we lived in Michigan we had them flying over the house all the time.

Good morning, Diana! Wow... Your photos of the balloon festival near you are amazing! I love all the different shapes and the beautiful glow they make at night! I've been to balloon festivals only a couple of times... And, each time, I feel like a little kid! It's such a thrill!
Diana, I spent some time catching up on your posts since August started. Happy Anniversary on your knee surgery! Everything looks like it's healing just wonderfully!
I also enjoyed your cleaning diaries :-). I smiled when I saw the sniffer dusters (my lavender vanilla one smells so nice) and the Fabreze Mr, Clean in lavender is also fantastic!
How is Kate enjoying her job?
Those first jobs are so memorable and such important character buildiers. We really watched our kids mature by leaps and bounds when they had their first jobs!

The summer has been going by faster now that it's August, I don't want the cold weather, but I'll be glad to see the high temperatures leave!
I wish you a wonderful Sunday!
God bless you always,
- Maria

Fun, fun, fun! I love the picture of you and am SO glad you had these hours/days to share with your girls.

When I saw the title of the post, I thought maybe I was going to get a peek into your upstairs "apartment". Have I ever asked you for pictures of that? It would be fun to see. I've been imagining it in my head for a long, long time.

Is your hubby back to work this week?????
