" In a Bit of a Hurry! "

This has got to be the quickest post that I have ever done. I have exactly 35 minutes to finish it before The "Dancing with the Stars" finale starts. Whats worse is that I have so much to tell that I won't have enough time to do so. So imagine if you will that I am talking very quickly. Unfortunately my typing skills cannot keep up!

My wonderful and sweet husband came home this past weekend feeling poorly. After a visit to the doctors office yesterday, it was determined that he has a sinus infection and the beginnings of bronchitis. My husband has COPD so this is not good. He is taking steroids, antibiotics and doing nebulizer treatments. Surprisingly as crappy as he feels, he has been in good humor.

And this may sound a bit selfish but I have so enjoyed him being home with us. Not to worry I have been taking very good care of him .
We have managed to complete several projects before he started to feel really bad. I will go into detail at another time because of time restraints.

We had quite a surprise this weekend when we found a toad in our yard. Now you may not know this but I adore reptiles and have never had one of my own so when Jake found him in our yard I wanted to keep him and name him George. But my dear husband wouldn't let me.
And while I totally understood, still I had to pet him for a while before we let him go.

I am going to have to skip around a lot as I am running out of time. And yes, my husband likes "Dancing with the Stars" too. we don't often get to watch it together as he's always gone!

I have done so much this past weekend and still continue to be very busy. I wish we had more time tonight but it won't be long before I am alone again and can bore you to tears some more!

I, yes me, the woman who hates to cook has made some delicious meals as well. And again I don't have the time to elaborate!

Tomorrow I have to go and see my young and handsome orthopedic doctor to get another shot of "Synvisc" in this time, my left knee.
And guess what? This will be the first time that my husband will be able to come with me! Do you think a brawl might ensue?

Perhaps they will fight over me. How exciting would that be?

Alright enough fun for now. I am going to be doing a special post on Thursday, so please, if I have not bored you too much, I hope you will return then.

Oh before I forget!!!! Jake and I decided that instead of trying to fix my 47 year old sewing machine......
We'd just go get a new one! Is he not awesome or what?!!!!

I felt like I had to help with finishing this post so I was reading super fast...too funny.

Hope your hubs feels better soon. It's no fun to be sick while driving one of those big rigs.

Hey Jules,
I know you know what I'm talking about. Being stuck out on the road sick is really bad.

The photos are wonderful. The one of the spider flowers makes me miss them. They were common in Mississippi but I've never seen any here in Oregon.

Toads are something else I miss.

I was sorry to learn that your husband has COPD. I hope he'll be over his infection soon.

Sorry for the circumstances, but thrilled that you two have some time together. I've heard SO many people with sinus infection - and have concluded that my dizziness stems from the same....

Sweet that you had your short time with "George"...

Exciting that you'll have two handsome men tending to you...

I look forward to Thursday. It will be hard to "top" the excitement of THIS post :)

Hi Di,

This is my fourth try to post a comment. I'm on a satellite connection that is not always able to stay connected long enough to do much.

Anyway, I just wanted to say it's so cool to see you have had such a great day with your honey home, flowers, the new sewing machine.... How did Dancing With the Stars turn out? We can't get that on board the ship.

Love and hugs,

Hi Lois!
So glad that you are having fun! The girl that won on "Dancing with the Stars" was the one that is in the "Pussycat Dolls" I can't remember her name! Love Di ♥

Hi Snow!
I love the Spiderwort too. It's funny, I got them from a friend, they were a transplant. I had no idea what they were until the next summer when they bloomed, nice surprise. Jake is doing alright considering. He's in good spirits which is good to see. Thanks! Love Di ♥

Hi Rebecca,
Same here with the sinus infections, I think it's because the allergies are so bad and then turn into infections!
The toad was ADORABLE! And I am looking forward to the shot. It works really well for several months!

Hey Di, I watched Dancing with the Stars for a bit last night, but switched over to Parenthood when it came on at 2000 hrs. Love those Timeshift Channels, can watch the East Coast feed and be in bed before Primetime starts here.

Glad you have the family around, I enjoyed reading this. I think you should have kept your Toad, I snickered at the name, it is the name of the GM at work.

You will have loads of fun with your new Sewing Machine, you will be Singing right along with your Brother.

You have a Wonderful Blessed Week.

All of your flowers look lovely Diana, your hollyhocks are way ahead of mine. Everything looks so neatly mulched and healthy.

Sorry that Jake isn't well, seems everyone has allergies lately! Hope he behaves with your doctor! :)

Too many questions left unanswered: What projects completed? Surely Jake didn't heft that 2 ton mirror and hang it if he was unwell?? What delicious meals - any good desserts? Is the young orthopedic DR any relation to my Hottie? Are those flowers in your yard? Did the toad become a Prince?

what a great guy he is! A new machine huh! I have a brother and brother it is a nice little machine! And now that DWTS is over, don't you love the ending! I heard that next season Julianne Hough is coming back again. I am excited because I just love her. I think that Derek is an amazing choreographer probably the best in his lifetime or mine! He honestly should get some kind of reward or something for his choreography. anyway my friend, cute post...can't wait to see you catch up with "other stuff" lol hugs..
