" A Sneak Peek "

The color is on the walls, Hallelujah! I thought I'd never get through this project.

This is all I am showing until the room is completed.

The flowers are fading a bit but they were given to me by my husband on my birthday.

Did you guess close on the color?

I was shooting for a caramel color. You wouldn't believe how difficult it was finding it!

For some reason yellow based hues can be the most difficult to get exactly right. It looks as if you nailed your caramel. It is beautiful.

I LOVE this shade, Di! So much that it's on my dining room walls, too. :) Or very close to it, but with some spongework or texture (to hide our old lumpy walls). Can't wait to see the whole room!

This is very pretty, Di! I was close in guessing yellow! I think you hit a home run with your caramel! It's a beautiful backdrop to your birthday flowers!

Thanks for giving us a peek! Can't wait for the full unveiling!
Love to you, E

Thanks everyone! The ceiling is a beautiful color too but I don't think I can catch it well enough with my camera. Jake and I are having a hanging party this weekend. Blinds and hopefully the curtain rods too. And all of the things that will go on the walls. I have a very heavy mirror to be hung over the fireplace. He is dreading it! I am hoping that he doesn't try to put it off for another two weeks! This will not make for a happy wife!
So I am thinking that I may have to break out the big guns and actually cook something like a meatloaf! LOL!!! It's one of his favorites!
Love Di ♥

Beautiful and very welcoming color. Tell hubby he will be torturing all your blogger buddies if he does not get the mirror hung so we can see the completed room. The color looks good with your wood work.:)

I had not IDEA of what color to envision! I couldn't have come up with a lovelier color. It should be great in any/every season. What a great choice.

I know you must be getting very anxious to have everything finished. Hope you'll take an hour or two just to sit and enjoy it before moving on to another project...

Magnificent! A job well done! Amazing what a little bit of paint can do. I am thinking of painting my front door red, but not sure how well my landlord would like that...I have always wanted a Red Door! Now what is your next project...I am still decluttering...why can I not let go?

I LOVE That color! My luck, had I picked it out, it would have come out peach. No matter what color I choose, it always ends up peach. I had to copy my daughter this last time around so I would get it right. Hey, I didn't know it was your birthday. I am so sorry I missed it so happy belated birthday, my friend.
Hugs to you
Terrie

Love the color, Di, so warm and inviting. It is so hard to find the color you want, isn't it and it looks so different on that sample paper???!!

We need to paint too and when the dining room was painted, the color was SO different from what I thought it would be and thank heavens that's one room due to be painted anyway.

Your hubby has to cooperate fro the final ta dah so maybe you need to make TWO meatloafs!

blessings and hugs,

marcy

p.s. my word is woses and you did have those pretty flowers from your hubby...were there any woses in there?
