" Thanks Lynilu! "

Today was a pretty busy one for me. Lets see, I spent an hour scraping the paint off the floor that the plastic that I put down missed.

I did three loads of laundry, dishes, cleaned the cat boxes, cleaned the kitchen, the bathroom, the spare bedroom and washed the floors.

Oh yea, I also went upstairs and went through my drawers getting rid of things I never wear. Went through three Rubbermaid tubs filled with all of mom's pictures, condensing them into one.

I made Enchilada's for dinner and I am almost sure that I am forgetting something!

So now I am settled in for the evening and am reading blogs. And what do I come across? My friend Lynilu from " Never  Ending Journey " posted about it being "National No Housework Day"!

I wish I would have known this sooner as I would have sat on my butt all day doing nothing, Yea right!

Oh well what's done is done. I guess I will continue to read Lyn's blog as I do enjoy it. I just hope that next year she might post about this holiday "EARLY IN THE MORNING!".

I hope that some of you were able to take advantage of this holiday, I certainly didn't!

You aren't pregnant, are you??? This sounds like "nesting" to me!

The word verification is "unwivies"! Isn't that funny?

Diana said...

No, pregnancy now would be an impossibility, believe it or not I took it easy! Love Di ♥

I'm SOOOOOOOOOOOOO sorry!!!

Thank Goodness, Di - I did not defile the meaning of this Holiday! Perhaps you could celebrate it tomorrow?
PS You CANNOT ride your bike through the Botanic garden!

I cannot believe how much you got done! That sounds like 2 days work in one day! I actually observed the holiday without knowing it--I was recuperating from my 2 days of yard work. I have a feeling you don't take respites from work very often.

Diana said...

Hi Maria,
I will try to remember this underrated holiday next year for us both! Love Di ♥

Diana said...

You see Bernie you really get me! I get all of my work done and THEN I can relax. I would like to enjoy the weekend in the yard since the weather is supposed to be very pleasant! Enjoy the Masters! Love Di ♥

Diana said...

Oh Donna I've been wanting to work in the yard but since I have been priming all week I sort of let the housework take a back seat! So now that it is done I can get some yard work done this weekend. I have things to plant! Love Di ♥

Pooh...too late :) You clean like I do or I should say how I use to clean. I have slowed down with age. I am enjoying my clean kitchen today but may have missed out on creating an art masterpiece.:)

You did enough work yesterday for several people, Di. It does feel good to relax and know things are done though, doesn't it. I didn't do much housework yesterday, but did work outside way too much, it cut inot my blogging time. I'm even late this morning with visiting everyone, but for a very good reason, g/daughter Katie stopped in for breakfast with me!
Don't work to hard today, Di!

LOL! IF I'd only known, Di! What a great excuse that would have been to sit around and watch movies or something... Ah Well! You did the work of three women yesterday -- Good for you! More warm fuzzies of accomplishment that way. Better in the long run. :)

ROFL!!!!! What shame!!!! Love an excuse whenever I can get one!!! It sounds like you were certainly extremely busy!! And mmmm, enchiladas...shoulda come to your house for dinner! ;-) Love you...and love your fantastic sense of humor! ~Janine XO

Sounds like quite the day! I bet your house is looking super clean :)

I am getting rid of things I do not want any longer too. Goodwill will be glad to see me next week.

Eileen said...

How do you find time to do all that work plus post so often????
No way could I do that!
Almost everyday around here is 'no housework day'! I do a few little chores a day! If I were tackling cleaning out my closet, that would be it for the day and it would not be one of many chores, it would be the chore of the day!
When I clean my bathrooms, that's 'cleaning the bathrooms day'! When I do laundry, that's 'laundry day'! When I dust and vacuum, well, you get the idea!
I'd say you put me to shame, well, you do, but I'm more lazy than shameful, so I think I'll stick to my routine!
Love to you!, Eileen
