" A Gloomy Sunday "

Since I haven't been posting much lately and I've done pretty much nothing but sit here for the last three days, I thought I'd share all the excitement that's been going on around here!
First of all it is so GLOOMY and CHILLY outside. A typical fall day you could say. Just not one of the prettier one's that we all like to enjoy.
Katie, Natasha and I are sitting around the television eating pizza while watching rerun after rerun of "Ice Road Truckers" while the rumble of thunder looms in the distance.
Since being on this mega dose of Keflex, I have felt horrible. No energy. Just weird. So I sit here waiting. Waiting to be done with them. Two more today and two more tomorrow then I'm done.
Oh please let me be done. I have to go see the doctor for my six week check up and I just pray that I don't have to take another coarse. The knee looks better and I've been diligent with my exercises. The knees are working well. I just don't have a lick of energy.
The girls are bored but have each other for company at least. I am missing my husband. Only another five or six days until he comes home again. He's thinking of going Regional again. Which means he'd be home EVERY weekend. That would be nice if we can make it. Sometimes the money isn't as good.
I can't believe the price of everything anymore. I can't barely afford to keep food in the house. It would help if Katie could find a job. In a town this size for someone who hasn't had any experience, it can be difficult.

I am anxious to start working my other jobs and a few more, I just don't have my stamina yet. I wonder how long that will take.
Well I did say it was a gloomy Sunday didn't I ?
Maybe I'll have a brighter post and a brighter day tomorrow.

Oh, darlin', I hope you are feeling more "up" tomorrow or even sooner. :) I know it can seem everything is so down, then suddenly a child smiles or a friend says hello and it is better even for a little while.

I'm so glad you are getting further and further along the road to normalcy after your surgery. I'm happy for you that it is finished and went so well!

Great big hugs from me down here in Port Canaveral,

You're doing well. Just remind yourself that you knew all along that it wasn't going to be easy.

Diana....Thankfully, these gloomy days don't last long. I hope that you and Jake will be able to share home time each weekend.
As your knees continue to heal, I pray for you...and praying that God meets all your needs. I know He will, my friend.

After a couple of foggy, grey, wet days here, the sun has returned, just as it will for you, Di. Autumn is a beautiful time of year, but it's much better when those leaves are crunchy under foot...not soggy! I'm sure next week we will all be singing a different tune and you'll be back in full energy mode.

At least blogging is still "free"...and the sun WILL come out - tomorrow!

You're right about the price of everything increasing. From week to week, I see it at the grocery store. AND the packages are getting smaller and smaller!

We drive two old cars. (Sort of seems like we need them both.) But the one Gary drives has developed some serious problems - BOTH of them need brake jobs. We're trying to determine the best solution to our car situation...

Well, Di. I hope your energy returns soon after you get off the meds. I had a better day yesterday. The rash didn't itch nearly so much. Last night was another story though! Hmmmmmmmm.

I, too, am ready to be healthy. And ENERGETIC!!!!

You should feel better when you are off the keflex, sometimes the cure is as bad as the problem.

Money, is there never enough? Prices have gone through the roof, for sure! We are now paying what we did when our son was living here over a year ago! It's always about the money.

I hope you get some energy after tomorrow and your 6 week check-up is the end of it! Have a fun evening!

It's no fun feeling that way. Most antibiotics make me feel yucky. I'm praying you have a good six-week checkup. Sending you lots of hugs!

Oh Di! So sorry you have the glums. Back east they seem so weather related, too. Autumn here in the SW is lovely, wish you were here! I'm seeing the opthomologist tomorrow and am hoping to be released to full duty - not this temporary lite duty stuff. Hugz to you and yours.

You've had major surgery and an infection plus you're on strong meds - who wouldn't feel punk? The sun will come out for you tomorrow. Hang in there, Di - I'm thinking of you.

Oh, dear. Gloomy, you say?
Well, um, things can't be the best if you're watching reruns of "Ice Road Truckers." It's such a thrilling series, isn't it.
I hope you're through with the Keflex. A person can stand only so much of "a good thing."
And I hope tomorrow is sunny. Just for you!

Oh my, I do hope today is better for you! Thanks for visiting my blog and for your comment! Has the swelling improved greatly? Give yourself time to finish healing...the rainy weather on top of everything else affects me too so I can relate to your gloomy day. The prices of everything IS depressing, isn't it? I can't believe I had to pay $4.19 for a pound of butter last week. I try not to use margarine because I think it is even less healthy...but my goodness, how can one afford it? Take good comes in the morning!

HI DI - keep getting better - :-) Soon you will be 100% your good self. The weather her has been horrid - rainy, very humid and warm - tropical - and I hate it as it is the worse for MS symptoms. But this too shall pass.
Love Gail

Oh, Di, I hope you're feeling better! It's not fun to be in those 'gloom' moods, but I always found something comforting when the weather of the day matched my mood. But I'm a little bit sick that way!

And it would be great if you could have your husband home every weekend! But I also understand about the finances. We have been eating LOTS of chicken lately (the big 'family packs' are a bargain!).

Sorry I haven't been by to visit more often, I'll try to be better.
Love to you,

I sure hope you are feeling better now. I hate how weird drugs can make you feel. Yuck!

I'm glad to hear your knees are getting better. You are normally so active it must be hard to be sitting around so much.

Get better soon my friend.

Isn't it crazy that the price of everything has gone up?
Hope youre feeling better and that your hubby came home safely.
