Editors Note: I have decided to revise my own personal soap opera that I had posted last year. It was fun for me to do a blog post or two in the third person. And since one can do whatever one wants to with one's blog, I'm gonna have some fun. So here goes.
"Best Laid Plans"
A continuation.
Part one.
Once again we find our lovely heroine,
Diana,
in distress, usually cool and collected, yet never calm finds herself relapsing from her horrible unknown illness.
in distress, usually cool and collected, yet never calm finds herself relapsing from her horrible unknown illness.
Her symptoms were all that one could imagine. The worse that one could imagine. So as her faithful and handsome husband suggested,
she put a call into her trustworthy doctor.
she put a call into her trustworthy doctor.
Yet despite taking her handsome husbands advice about calling her doctor, she chose to ignore her wise husbands advice about not working today.
She was so torn. She felt awful physically yet wrestled with the fact that she didn't work last week. She hate's to let her people down. They are so understanding, warm and wonderful.
That is the part that she had to wrestle with. You see she is just a maid . A plain old maid. But in her heart of hearts, she loved her job. Why else would she continue to do it for five years?
It is satisfying for her and mentally relaxing. Yet she disregarded how horrible she felt and ignored her handsome husbands request that she not go.
When her nice doctor called back, she was slightly and nicely scolded for turning down the steroids the week before.
As much as she didn't want to, she agreed to take them. Along with more antibiotics. A chest ex-ray was also ordered for her.
She came home from cleaning totally exhausted. When her lovely yet challenging teenage daughter arrived home from school, Diana requested that she drive her mom to the hospital.
Amazingly to Diana's surprise, her beautiful yet challenging teenage daughter agreed, without argument, to take her mom to the hospital and then to the pharmacist to pick up medication.
Fortunately for Diana, her daughter has proven to be an excellent if not a bit too confident driver. She was very patient with her sickly mother.
She was, if only for a short time,
understandably sweet?!
So now Diana is taking the dreaded steroids. Still feeling awful. Not looking herself at all....

Will this sickness never end?
Is she still cooking lunch for her daughter and her mysterious friend?
Is her handsome husband...
feeling any better as he slaves away to keep a roof over his families head?
And what about Mr. Toad?
Yes, what has become of Mr. Toad?
Will Diana
ever look as good as she did in the past?
What will the results be of the chest ex-ray?
And what about her eyebrows?
Yes what about her eyebrows?
Stay tuned for the next episode of
"Best Laid Plans"
To find out.

So sorry you are not feeling well sweetie but I am so looking forward to the next episode of this story being told in the third person...lol
Seriously my friend, I hope the steroids kick in and that you feel all better very soon.....:-) Hugs
Hi Bernie,
I've taken six today and still feel like crap. I guess I waited too long. Stubborn me!
Love Di ♥
LOL! Very funny presentation, regardless of how un-funny the situation is. I haven't had a round of steroids in a long time, but as I recall, the "feel better" phase doesn't kick in immediately.
Lay low. You'll lick this thing yet. Hugs in the meanwhile.
This was fun! I loved it and the photos...just wish she wasn't feeling so bad! Saying special prayers for you tonight for God's healing hand to comfort you and heal you. Love, Vicki ♥
I think Diana should listen to her handsome husband...take time off and get better, so she can look as good as she did in the past.
Hoping the results on her chest xray are good, and What about her eyebrows?
Love it!
Simone
HI DIANA-
Oh my, you poor thing. Great post though - your 'soap opera style' is amazing AND I was SO happy to see Mr Toad again - I missed tht little guy. :-)
I am worried about you my friend - PLEASE take your medications and rest. Also, have you been tested for Lyme Disease??
Love you lots
Gail
Peace and hope and healing for us all
I can't bear the suspense! Diana's glamorous life is one I can only aspire to. The eyebrows? Will she have to have implants? How does she manage to deal with so many handsome men in her life? Will her teenage daughter's sympathetic attitude last?
Hi, popped over to see if you had added any new episodes of the "Best Laid Plans." Hope plans are gong better!
Thanks for stopping by my place this morning. Thank you for your comment.
Love and Blessings, Vicki
Poor Diana. However I must say she and her husband look mighty fine despite their travails. And even the doctor is so handsome is this world of beautiful people. Will some lady please kiss Mr. Toad and turn him back into a prince as well?
Take care and hope things are getting better this Labor Day weekend.
Lee
Tossing It Out
Dear Di, Somehow, I missed your last post and didn't realize you were still sick. The crud is really hanging on a long time - I can see that the handsome husband of the story is shaking his head in disbelief that the much-loved (and dark eyebrowed wife) will not listen and REST! Also, YES - what has happened to Mr Toad? You need to get well and finish this story. PS I knew the beautiful but challenging daughter would do her part when the chips were down. She has a good heart, like her Mother.
Gee Diana...with a handsome doctor like that I would jump off the roof if he told me to. LOL. Very fun and creative post...I have not had the honor of taking steroids and hope I will be spared the opportunity. Get well quick!!!Dee
Eyebrows? What have you done to your eyebrows or is that just a ploy to get us even more curious of the next installment. This post almost slipped by me too Di. Seems there was a delay of it showing on my list...it popped up in a time slot I had already past through, but I caught it. I'm hoping today you are feeling better. Rest up over the weekend! Take long naps and sip hot tea AND write the next sequel!
Oh Di, This just really stinks, doesn't it? I know it's been a couple of weeks at least and you're not even starting to feel any better? As much as I am sure you've been told before, maybe it's time again for Diana to kick back, put her feet up and take a break... a nice long two or three day break. That way you can at least feel a little better before you schedule that surgery. My prayers are with you. Hugs, Terrie
Oh, you crack me up!!! You are wonderful!!! Taking such difficult circumstances and making such fun out of them!!! You are an inspiration, Di!!! I just want you to know that you are and will continue to be in my prayers daily!! Love you so much! Janine XO
I'm sorry you've been so unwell, but I'm glad that you are not too sick to be creative.
Thanks for the kind thoughts and prayers I'd arrive safely. I said a prayer for you and the family Di, hope you are feeling better soon.
Amazing how much Diana looks like Natalie Wood and Hubby looks like Burt Lancaster. The doctor looks strikingly familiar as well.
Glad that Mr Toad made an appearance as well.
Oh Diana ... you do beat all!
love this post...love all the fun pics ... especially helpful Katie and Mr. Toad!
don't love it that you're still sick!
I hope that your are getting this nice cool weather that is happening here in upstate, NY...
What a difference it makes for allergies etc.
Hope the winds change {as in Mary Poppins} and that you are on the road to recovery FAST!
Keeping you in prayer dear ♥
love,
Maria
Only you can take a sickness that is dragging you down, and hit back with a fabulous melodrama.
The pictures are so clever, and your daughter, very precious.
Hope you back on the road to recovery soon, but don't stop giving us this fun melodrama!!!
Hi there, Sweetie,
I'm so sorry you still don't feel well. Your spirit is an inspiration to the rest of us.
Hugs,
Lois
You have the best antidote for sickness...a sense of humor and a very clever imagination ! Get well soon.
Sounds a beautiful and dramatic way of sharing your "Best Laid Out Plans", but I feel sad about your present health state my dear Di! Hope and pray it will come to pass soonest!
Your sweet and pretty daughter is admirable and your handsome husband, may he find peace as he works away from you....hoping all is well with his beautiful queen/princess Diana whose at home to nurse herself! We are on the same boat, my hubby works far away for 8 straight months and could only be with his family for more or less two months...and that sounds scary whenever I fell ill!
Get well soon my dear Di!
Love,
Amity
Hi Di, Just dropping in again to see how you are feeling. Any results from tests? Lifting you up to the great healer!
Love, Vicki
Hi. YOu know, I posted a comment here but I don't know where it went!
I'm hoping you're feeling a bit better and I think the next time you are at your doctor ask them to check you for hashimotos. The eyebrows concern me.
Aw Jenny, no need to concern yourself, it's just called aging!
Love Di ♥
