" The Heat is On "

Oh my is it hot outside ! Today 90's, the next four days, 100's. No rain insight. I can't even remember the last time we had rain.

Katie's surgery went well. Better than the last time. However the surgeon also found a cyst as well as the polyp that he originally spotted. So it's good that we found it early.

Kate is cranky and not feeling so hot. She is on a mega dose of Augmentin, which in and of itself, speaking from personal experience, makes one feel like crap!!

All in all though she is doing much better. Thank you for your concern and prayers.

I'm very busy these days so I don't know how much I will be around. I was able to get caught up with everyone this morning but with this heat and Kate being down, it's been a bit slow going here if you know what I mean!!

Take care, stay cool and God Bless.

So glad you posted, Di. I've been wondering about Katie. Poor gal - not a great way to spend summer vacation. Did you make the chicken soup? Hope you can beat the heat. I'm sitting on the deck to write this - cool & breezy here in Brckenridge. Our state is a tinderbox - we hope for a bit of rain today. Peoinve54

Diana,

Tomorrow is going to be 102 with a 115 heat "index" meaning with the humidity it's going to be HOT!!! I'm going to be at the camp site all next week, looks like it's going to be a scorcher while I'm there.

Looks like they caught it before it could develope into something so Katie might be a bit cranky now but will be smiling later. :)

Have a great day Diana!

Hi Di,
So glad to hear Katie's surgery went well, and hope things cool down and slow down soon, for both your sake.

So far, no heat waves here, and it has been raining quite a bit. Today it is really windy, so I am wondering what it will blow in.

Keeping you and yours in my prayers, and thank you for yours.

Love TT

Hi Diana! I'm so glad Kate is coming through okay! It's so hard to feel better in heat...and sometimes meds make you feel even hotter!
Praying for some cool breezes to come your way!
I really enjoyed your story about the morning glories! What a great family story...
You should print that post and put it in Kate's album!
They are beautiful too!
wishing you a great weekend and continued good health for all,
♥ Maria

I'm so glad it's over, Di. Katie can rest a lot easier I'm sure.
Yes, we're in a heat wave here too. I'm heading North in the morning but they aren't much cooler there...can't win !

I've been thinking about all my blogger friends in this heat and dry spell. And I have family and friends in Colorado too with those fires.

I hope you all get some relief. It's been hot here too, but nothing to complain about like you have been having it.

I'm glad Katie's doing a little better. It stinks to have to have any kind of surgery at any age, but I think especially so for the young ones. In my eyes you are supposed to be able to take your health for granted when you are a child and a teenager and it just isn't fair if you can't.

Keep your cool, Di.
Love to you, E

I can't believe you have no rain, it must all be coming our way ! It certainly can't be pleasant to be unwell in that heat though; Best wishes to you and your daughter !

Ahhh it is sweltering everywhere! I am sitting in my office catching up on posts from all my friends and my feet are FREEZING! I just put on a pair of socks and put a blanket over my feet! The boss has this office like a meat locker and he has picked up and gone for the day and of course we are left freezing. NO ONE is calling or coming around because tomorrow is a HOLIDAY and now I am starving! I want to go home! BTW hope Katie is doing better and HOPE you are able to put up with a cranky teen-ager....oh the joys of motherhood! lol! Have a safe tomorrow! hugs.. that's if I can read the weird letters below!
