My daughter Ginny emailed this to me today and I think that you will all enjoy it as much as I did.
Thanks, Gin!
This is amazing that someone even thought of this!
Dancing With God
When I meditated on the word Guidance,
I kept seeing "dance" at the end of the word.
I remember reading that doing God's will is a lot like dancing.
When two people try to lead, nothing feels right.
The movement doesn't flow with the music,
and everything is quite uncomfortable and jerky.
When one person realizes that, and lets the other lead,
both bodies begin to flow with the music.
One gives gentle cues, perhaps with a nudge to the back
or by pressing Lightly in one direction or another.
It's as if two become one body, moving beautifully.
The dance takes surrender, willingness,
and attentiveness from one person
and gentle guidance and skill from the other.
My eyes drew back to the word Guidance .
When I saw "G": I thought of God, followed by "u" and "i".
"God, "u" and "i" dance."
God, you, and I dance.
As I lowered my head, I became willing to trust
that I would get guidance about my life.
Once again, I became willing to let God lead.
My prayer for you today is that God's blessings
and mercies are upon you on this day and everyday.
May you abide in God, as God abides in you.
Dance together with God, trusting God to lead
and to guide you through each season of your life.
This prayer is powerful and there is nothing attached
If God has done anything for you in your life,
please share this message with someone else.
There is no cost but a lot of rewards;
so let's continue to pray for one another.
And I Hope You Dance!

Eileen
I also received this from a friend before, I loved it then, I love it now...thank you for sharing with all of us Di.
Now where is this picture of Sara Christmas dreaming, I only have a white box with a red X in it....I wonder if it's my computer. Have a great day and I hope Katie is better.....Luv ya.....:-) Hugs
Good advise - can I dance from my Lazy Boy? That's about as much "flow" as Bob is allowing these days...
Hi Eileen,
I had never thought of the word Guidance in this way before, quite lovely really! Sarah is definitely a poser, that's for sure. She loves when the camera comes out!

Hi Bernie,
I guess everyone has already seen this, but I thought it really neat!
Sarah's picture is right next to the bottom of this post.

Hi Barb,
Well you can daydream from your recliner that you and Bob are dancing! You should be resting anyway! And I will say a prayer for you so that you can get back to hiking soon!

Thyis reminded me of the hymn " Lord of the Dance". Here is one verse:
I danced in the morning
when the world was begun,
and I danced in the moon
and the stars and the sun,
and I came down from heaven
and I danced on the earth,
at Bethlehem
I had my birth.
Refrain:
Dance, then, wherever you may be,
I am the Lord of the Dance, said he,
and I'll lead you all, wherever you may be,
and I'll lead you all in the Dance, said he.
Oh that was great... I love making full use of words... they are so powerful~
I also love the song Dr. John wrote about... :Lord of the Dance:
Now I am hearing that play out in my mind... Which is Great...because I really do like it!
Thank you for the beautiful imagery, and thank Ginny too!

Where is...Wanda Said? I came back to read your replies and my comment isn't here...mostly I just mentioned the post brought to mind the song "I Hope You Dance" by LeeAnn Womack.
I guess you are having warmer weather too, Diana, hope so!
That was a great reminder. I love it also that the word guidance has the word dance in it. I hope you are all on the mend at your home. I was home sick today but I got to catch up on my blog reading. Yay! I do hope that I am better tomorrow.
Hello my sweet Di, that was a beautiful post! I loved the comments as well! I love to dance, I am going to remember next time I do, that I am never alone...BTW the pic had an X on it and I could't see it. I will try again tomorrow.
I had never seen this before. What a great way to think of guidance. It helps to keep the focus where it should be.
I also couldn't get your picture of Sarah--it was an empty box. probably a problem on my computer.
Thanks to Dr. John also, for the "Lord of the Dance" lyrics.
Thanks for sharing this...I have not seen it before. I hope your daughter is feeling better. She is very photogenic and I can see why she is not camera shy. I love the photo. One you can bring out each Christmas.
