I'd like to share with you some of my ceramics collection. Actually some of it's mine and some is on loan.
A vase that I use.
A platter. That Looks like a piece of toast!
Until I put a candle on it.
A perfect candle holder.
This holds my lip balm and little scissors to snip yarn when I crochet.
An interesting little bowl.
A different view.
Tea for two ?
Two more you say ?
Lets make it tea for six...
I do have bowls for soup,
if you're hungry...
And yet another interesting vase.
To bad it's lacking flowers today.
Ever wonder what a Kitty Kat thinks about ?
Just ask my daughter Katie.
Apparently they think about handmade beads...
Or quite possibly Penguins !!!!
Many thanks to my daughter Katie who so generously shared her beautiful works with me !!!
Sweet! Did Katie make them all? Cool!
Very neat ceramics, Di. I didn't know that you loved pottery.
And....I love your blog, my friend. Lookin' spiffy!!!
How're the knees? I do hope that you are doing great.
I'm thinkin' aboutcha.
Is this from an art class in school? It's great if the school has a kiln. (Also, great for you since you get to have the finished products!) I really like the blue bowl and the rose vase. Good for Katie! PS Did you get your crocs? Also - I like your new Blog look.
You need to come and visit me, Di. I actually live in an area that is famous for it's ceramics and pottery. I can guarantee you'd enjoy it !!!
Are the knees holding up???
No. 3 & 4 coffee mugs were my favorites along with Katie's cute cat bowl. The first vase is very unusual and looks like it would be hard to make. My son-in-law has a kiln and a collection of pottery is one more thing we have in common, Di. Your collection goes well with your Tuscany theme living room!
Well I left a comment, but it disappeared. I'll try again.
Nice collection of ceramics. I like collecting them too.
What a wonderful collection you've shared with us today! Katie has quite a talent; hope she keeps it up!
You have some very neat pieces. Does this post mean that you are feeling even better? Hope so.
HI DI - I love ALL the pieces but the piece of toast is my favorite. Way cool, just like you
Very nice! My wife loves Penguins so you know whats going to happen when she sees your blog!
Wow! someone has been busy! Are you feeling well? I hope you are back to your sassy self lol. UMM kinda looking for "the rest of the story". You better not leave us haning on the edge ole girl! Glad to see you are healing and back up to picture taking! hugs..
Aw, thanks for sharing! Those are so sweet! I have quite a few ceramic/pottery pieces from when my oldest daughter was taking pottery at school. I also have several plates, cups and saucers that she has painted. These pieces are such treasures!
Thank you so much, Di, for your warm and encouraging comments today on my post. It sounds like we are two peas in a pod!
I tell you, I do wish I had done both knees at the same time now, after knowing you and seeing you manage so well.
But, even though the cost isn't an issue (good insurance) the time is. Maybe I'll do it next year. This June we are planning a once in a lifetime trip to Europe to visit my youngest daughter and travel a bit. I'm hoping I will be healthy enough to enjoy it.
I guess I need to take it one step at a time. I have a dr appointment in about a month. Tomorrow I'm going to call my old physical therapist and ask for suggestions.
Thanks again for your support and encouragement!
Fun, fun! And such unique and wonderful pottery, Di.
I think my favorite is that "toast" platter!
How do you display it? Mostly in one place, or scattered around (or in Katie's room)?
