This is my Friday favorite for this week. I didn't expect these photo's to be on my Friday favorites as I just discovered them.
I know that I am no photographer, far from it. I don't have an eye for it. I have taken some photos that I've really liked and have been proud of, but nothing of mine can compare to these.
All of these photos were taken at the lake by our house. This last one is my very favorite. This last one is also the one that Katie had enlarged and framed for her dad for Fathers Day.
All of these spectacular photos were taken by Katie on her camping trip this past weekend. She is interested in going into photojournalism. I think that would be a good idea.
Katie
I don't know what this weekend has in store for us. Jake wants to grill and be lazy! It is Fathers Day weekend after all. And I am sure he will be surprised with his gift from Katie!

All the photographs are beautiful, but I agree that the last is THE MONEY SHOT!!
What a wonderful gift idea! I'm sure your husband will love it.
Katie has a lot of talent!
I like your new favorites very much!
And I'm still laughing at your award post! I was in stitches! Tears streaming down my face!
Have you read Teresa's honesty list?! I love it! I think I will ask her if I can post it as a 'favorite' of mine along with yours!
Have a great weekend!
Thank you Eileen and yes I did read Teresa's list. She is something special. I hope you have a nice weekend too Eileen. I may not be back until Monday or Tuesday. When Jake's home I have no time!
Hi Diana
Katie took some beautiful photos...My favorite was the one she framed for her Dad!
You asked about the vase my mother made...well...she used 2 plastic containers...one a little smaller than the other...she coated the inside of the larger one with vaseline...poured glue coated pebbles in the bottom then added a little more glue...coated the outside of the smaller container with vaseline...sat it inside the other...added glue coated pebbles in the space between...let it harden and then remove containers...It holds up well...it's over 10 years old.
They make unique gifts.
Enjoy your cookout Diana!
Hello Diana...Katie has "the" eye...Go Katie! They are all good, but I'm going to have to pick the....FIRST one...because when I clicked on it to enlarge it the li'l wave just seemed to come right up to me...and with all my splendid vocabulary (cough) I said, "Oh...Wow!" I actually said it out loud when the photo opened up. It is great.
I'm glad that Wanda posted the directions as to how her Mother made the vase. I want to try and make one.
Smiles,
Jackie
What beautiful pictures!! And the one of your daughter was especially pretty!!
I loved your Friday favorites...
Hope your Father's Day weekend is a Happy one :) Love, Jerelene
Hi Wanda, that was my favorite picture too. But I liked the first one also. Thank you for posting the directions for the vase. It actually sounds like something that Katie and I could do together, Thanks!
Hello Jackie, I had a hard time picking which photo I liked the best, there are actually more that I didn't post. I hope she keeps her interest in it. Thank you for your nice words Jackie!
Hi Jerelene, I'm glad that you liked Katies photo's. After Fathers Day I am going to print up some more but I didn't want them laying around where Jake could find them and ruin the surprise! Thanks Jerlene!
I'm behind in reading my blogs! I just finished reading your awards post. So funny! I would love to hear your hysterical laughter. I'd join right in with you. I so enjoy visiting your blog. Congratulations on your award!
Katie did a fantastic job with the photographs! Her Dad will be so pleased. She found her niche!
Katie did a great job with all her photographs, but my favorite is the one she took of herself...there is such a cute smile and a little impishness there.
Have a wonderful time with your hubby...those are to be treasured!
blessings and hugs,
marcy
Hi again, Diana. Your post to my blog (that you sent this afternoon) just came in. I posted on my blog to you regarding that...and regarding our wonderful height! I don't know what's up with the post/delay...but I do go back to my blogs and check for posts. I do that often.
Get that academy glitter shaken off and have a restful weekend.
Smiles from Jackie

Have a great weekend...:-) Hugs
Katie is a budding photojournalist! If I were "starting over" I think I'd love to pursue that field. Her Dad will be very pleased.
